Warmest greetings & Happy Chinese New Year din!
Salamat sa email mo at iba pang mga balita. Nirerebyu ko nga ang mga documents/ messages noong Third International Assembly ng ILPS (June 2008) para makahanap ng paliwanag sa mga nangyayari sa Arab world particular sa Tunisia, Egypt, Sudan, Yemen, Oman, Jordan, Mauritania, Algeria atbp. Sa speech sana ni Ka Bel: page 3- “In Egypt, about 127,000 textile workers stopped work in a publicly- owned company where wages and bonuses could not cover for expenses. Migrant workers in oil rich Middle East are striking; 2,000 construction workers in the UAE earning less than $200 a month; 3,000 migrant workers sewing for Classic Fashion Apparel, paid only $31 a week when they should be receiving $64 while routinely working 12 to 14 hour”. Maliban dito, may iba pang datos ng welga ng mga manggagawa at protesta ng mamamayan sa Bangladesh, Vietnam, Bangkok, Indonesia, Turkey, Nigeria (vs Exxon Mobil); Johannesburg, Athens, Melbourne, Eastern Romaniam France, Scotland, Basra (US-occupied Iraq), Toronto Transit Commission (striking employees protested the contracting out of work); US (writer’s guild);
